This Privacy Policy describes how Grotap Research ("Grotap Research," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit grotap.com, use our applications at apps.grotap.com, contact us, or opt in to our text message notifications. By using our website and services, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account or sign in, we collect your name, email address, and organization details through our authentication provider.
Contact form submissions. When you contact us, we collect the name, email, and message you provide.
Phone number and SMS consent. If you choose to opt in to text notifications, we collect your mobile phone number and a record of your consent (the date, time, source, and the exact consent language you agreed to). Providing a phone number is always optional and is never a condition of creating an account or using our services.
Usage information. Standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used to operate and secure the service.

2. How we use your information

To provide, operate, and improve our website, applications, and services.
To respond to your inquiries and support requests.
To send account notifications and event alerts you have opted in to receive, by email or — only with your express opt-in consent — by text message.
To maintain the security and integrity of our platform.

3. Text messaging (SMS) privacy

If you opt in to text notifications from Grotap Research, we send recurring automated messages about your account, platform status, and events — for example account alerts, agent run updates, and event notices. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

No third-party sharing of SMS data. Your phone number, SMS opt-in consent, and text messaging originator opt-in data will not be shared with, sold to, or transferred to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories listed above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with, or sold to, any third parties under any circumstances.

We use Twilio Inc. solely as our message delivery provider; Twilio processes phone numbers only to transmit the messages you have requested and is contractually restricted from using them for any other purpose.

Opting out is easy and always available: reply STOP to any message, visit grotap.com/opt-out, or change your preference in your account settings. Reply HELP to any message or email info@grotap.com for assistance. When you opt out, we stop sending messages immediately and keep a record of your opt-out so we don't message you again.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers who process it on our behalf to run the platform (for example: hosting, authentication, email delivery, and SMS delivery providers), each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us; or when required by law.

5. Data retention

We retain account information for as long as your account is active. SMS consent and opt-out records are retained as required to demonstrate compliance with messaging regulations, including after you opt out.

6. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and isolated tenant databases — to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data using commercially reasonable measures.

7. Your choices and rights

You may opt out of text messages at any time (reply STOP, visit grotap.com/opt-out, or update your account settings).
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing info@grotap.com.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults and business users. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
